dSPACE Inc. Supports University of Victoria EcoCAR 2 Team with Techie Prowess

April 27, 2012: The University of Victoria is the only team in Western Canada, and one of fifteen in North America, to compete in EcoCAR 2: Plugging In To The Future. dSPACE Inc. provided hardware and software for developing and testing embedded control systems and supported the team during the process.

ERAU EcoEagles Collaborate with dSPACE, Inc.

April 26, 2012: The Embry-Riddle EcoEagles EcoCAR 2 team is participating in a General Motors and Department of Energy collegiate advanced vehicle technology engineering competition. dSPACE Inc. is providing the young engineers with hardware-in-the-loop hardware and the software for developing and testing their control algorithms. A dSPACE engineer is also giving them practical tips and application know-how.

dSPACE Helps UW Through Winter Workshop Difficulties

March 09, 2012: Failures can yield as much valuable insight as successes, and oftentimes much more. Moreover, EcoCAR 2 failures can yield help from colleagues and competitors alike. Such was the case with the University of Washington EcoCAR 2 team’s Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) demonstration at the Winter Workshop in Austin. Controls lead Trevor Crain explains the challenges UW had setting up its dSPACE HIL Simulator to meet the demonstration requirements.

EcoCAR 2 Year 1 Winter Workshop

February 08, 2012: Co-sponsored by Freescale and dSPACE, Inc. and hosted at Freescale’s Oak Hill campus, EcoCAR 2 teams participated in detailed sessions from competition organizers from General Motors, the U.S. Department of Energy and Argonne National Laboratory.
The teams were put to the test at their first in-person scored presentations, including Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL), Outreach, and Business.
